Pacific Expedition Launches 45′ Custom Cat

Patrick Meyer and John Shaw of Pacific Expedition Yachts announced over the weekend that they have launched a 45′ custom catamaran that has been under construction in their Oregon shipyard.

The custom boat is somewhat different from the PE-45 catamaran that will be the standard offering in that length from PE. The owner of the new yacht, named Double Wide, intends to use the vessel for both pleasure and some limited scientific work. The photos here are from the launching.
