I just purchased MSTZ Explorer. My original idea was just to use it for home planning, which it does reasonably well. I'm still not sure if I would prefer MSTZ or my NN3D units for actual navigation.

My only real complaint with the software is documentation. There is an online user guide which is quite limited and doesn't detail many of the features.

I wanted to built many routes from my marina, and all of them start with the same 5 waypoints. Instead of having to make them individually, I wanted to just start new routes from that fifth point.

I emailed Maxsea on how to do this, and was told it couldn't be done. I phoned Furuno (before Maxsea responded), and together the tech and I found the FORK ROUTE option, which does exactly this!

The product is VERY fast. I'm running it on a VMWare Fusion session running on a Virtual Windows XP machine on my Mac laptop and it is FAST!
